Op Art Creation (Texture) – JMicheal – Filter of the Day from Filter Forge

Op Art With Motion

Description

This filter attempts to make dynamic, flowing visual patterns of the type favored by the op artists. Use a high setting for size (1200 to 1500) or a low number of stripes. The presets will give you an idea of the range of patterns that can be created. If you want to try the randomizer, it is recommended that you turn off the “randomize size” option.

Op Art Patterns Stripes

OK

Excuse me but I don’t think the word “attempt”  should be part of the description for this. It does make dynamic, flowing visual patterns/ I think the overlay to add the warpy effect is just genius. This one can get a bit untamed when using the random setting – Next variant – but it soon shapes up quickly with a little tweak in the settings. It’s a superb pattern to play with and use. Download it now at Filter Forge

Foxxee’s Flower Power – Foxxee – Filter of the Day from Filter Forge

  • March 14, 2010 11:53 am

In the UK it is Mothers Day today. So for Mothering Sunday I thought I would celebrate it with some flowers. The Filter Library in Filter Forge is great to use as you can search using the keywords set by the filter authors as well as there titles or the filter creator’s name. So if you want to find this or any other flowery offering made then just use the word “flower”. The search is a great way to find inspiration and ideas for art as well as simply finding filters. I sometimes use less obvious emotional words – like fear, love, sad, joy frenzy etc and see what come up – it is great fun.

I really like this filter and it could be used beautifully in digital scrapbooking, creating unusual plants and flowers in 3D packages as well as creating spays or tubes in Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro respectively and stickers in the very creative Artrage (An art package Blurt and I have heaps of enjoyment with)

So this is our flower, yesterday I uploaded a new header to the Site using this flower. You can also check out the FilterOfTheDay section in the Gallery to see some blooms!
