Filter Forge was put to good use last night after my daughter Blurt (who will be 5 tomorrow) came back from playing in the snow. I thought she might like to scramble some of her pics creatively to make some cold looking patterns but she didn’t. Blurt fancied a bit of Olde Worlde charm.
This is what she produced and it is a section of a photo (with our house in) which she took herself and she did the adding it to Filter Forge parts too and sliding things until it looked good to her.  Well I am  fairly impressed – for a 4 year old I think this is neat. Click on the picture to get a closer look — there is some lovely texture.
Blurt also ran a couple which she called her Nightmare Pictures of our house — however as it was nearly bed time I decided to encourage her to leave those ones for a brighter morning. Â These are where she was heading .. hmmmm spooky.
OK so the point of that was that the controls are simple to use in Filter Forge – so simple that a 4 year old can dive in and make something new, imaginative and thought provoking out of the photos she has taken.
But please do not be misled by the simplicity of this post, this doesn’t even get near to touching the surface of this product never mind scraping it. Â See you soon.
